Riding the 7.5 ton beast ^^ ... QUEST ACCOMPLISHED!

It's never as good ~ as the first time <3
~ Riding a light weight 7.5 to. Truck (l = 8.20m / w = 2.55m / h = 3.70m).

Because of my German driving license from 1989 (it's PINK!)  I am allowed to ride light weight trucks up to 7.5 tons (you don't need an extra qualification to do this - it just comes with the normal license for cars ;p).

Since the company I work for (usually in the office only) had ordered some new office equipment they needed someone to drive a rental truck and get the stuff back to our company.
The guy who was supposed to drive and works in the warehouse did only have a 'new' license for small trucks up to 3.5 tons only - and since I am someone who can't say no to something like this (actually it was nice to leave the office for a day and drive around) - plus I compare life with a RolePlaying game (e.g. Skyrim) - and when there is a new quest - of course I want to PLAY !!!

Actually I don't have any experience in driving such a big car! ... the biggest one was an RV and that was much smaller - and that's already 8 year ago ;p

So this morning when I we got the car from the rental company I was very exciting. When I saw it I just thought: OMG! *__* ... what now? xDDD --> and here is the beast :D

Inside all was much easier than I thought - and actually quite fun because driving is so different compared to a small car ... I loved the sound of the air compressed brakes (whoosh!) the whole time - the sound of the turbo when stepping on the gas - the high view where you could see so much more landscape than usually - and look down on all other cars which were so small ! ;p

I enjoyed today! ...  completely felt like 19 y.o. again - when I did service as a bus driver for the Red Cross - fro handicapped people ... and that of course included also silly things ;p

That poor guy today. Was turning left with that light weight 7.5 ton truck - did not see him at all and just stepped on the gas. Just when my co-driver said " Hey! don't you see that man there?! in front of you !!!" I braked so hard and stopped just in
front of him (as you know a truck makes a lot of noise when braking ! (compressed air brake) - and that guy almost had an heart attack : holding his right hand on his heart!! ...

and what did I do? - I just started to laugh so loud (windows were down) - and he screamed: "And you are laughing about it !!!! " ... and I laughed even more xDDD'D

Guess he thought his life was going to end today...  and the last thing he saw was this !

The Nürburgring Nordschleife - aka "The Green Hell" is not just some kind of racing track - it's a Mythos. When I am there I can even feel it's mystical aura. Opened in 1927 it has not lost it's magic until today ~ 20 km of beauty with countless corners, hills, high-speed areas and over it the ruins of the Nürburg

Before I ever saw the track in RL I drove it virtually countless times in Gran Turismo 5 ... you just don't believe how they literally copied reality into this game ... every detail is just like the same: amazing when you see a place for the first time in your life but discover that you already had been there virtually  - no wonder GranTurismo is also sponsoring the VLN racing series :D

(here a virtual photo from GT5)

and a pics I made of the real thing ^^

while on non racing events every one is allowed to drive on the ring (so called "tourist drivers) the scenery turns into a completely different thing when  'the race is on'

This year we just 'discovered' a new exciting racing series called "VLN - Langstreckencup' ... the races take always place on Saturdays for about 4 hours !!! - and all over the Nordschleife. It's an amazing challenge for drivers and cars - because the 'Ring' is literally a "Green Hell" - and best: Viewing at the Nordschleife itself for free !! ;p (only the Grand-Prix area is about 15€) what a fan friendly event <3.

btw. my fav car is the blue/yellow Audi R8 LMS Ultra <3 ~ while Eri is crazy for the black Ford GT.

... to be continued ~

Amsterdam : 1st time

Just before Hamburg it was photo time in Amsterdam. I met my friends Miu and Al  for a photo shooting we had discussed some time before - and finally there was a chance.

After thinking time and time again what would be the best way to go to Amsterdam I eventually decided to go by car - since I hate it to be somewhere at a fixed time - and always fear to miss a train ... not to talk about the annoying people you usually meet on the train ;p

Only one problem: where to park your car (safely) in Amsterdam? - esp. when you always fear your car to be damaged: it's some kind of phobia - I always look for parking space big enough that no other car slams the door into my car ~ gosh, sometimes I with I just had a car that I don't like at all - some Skoda Octavia or Volkswagen Passat in order not to have this fear always xDDD.

Anyway: my friends recommend the a perfect way to arrive by car! Amsterdam has  a pool of P+R car parks outside of Amsterdam -  where you even get free tickets for tram and bus and only have to pay 8€ for 24h parking. Perfect (: ....

Even it was a bit late in the afternoon I arrived we just started with photos immediately because we had discussed the photo topic (a combination of cuteness, costumes and Hello Kitty combined with with fetish stuff ~ most of the photos I can not post here because I want to keep this blog work friendly; at least this blog xDDD)

With beginning sunset we had to stop making photos and spent a great relaxing evening in Amsterdam. I really liked the city and it's calm evening atmosphere and enjoyed yummy food and talking :D

Saturday was dedicated to shooting: it was just so much fun - and everything just worked so great because we always had a new idea what to try out :D - I am already looking forward for next time ^^

Last - but not least : some samples of our shooting ^^ ~ enjoy ...

Lolita photo time in Hamburg

Since (daily)life was just so booooooring - as always ;p - I decided that time for complaining about it is over - gave myself an kick in the ass ;) - took three days off and made a photo- and friend-meetup (haven't seen them for ages!) trip to Hamburg! ~ @Matthias + Nicole : thank you for the great evening ! ... @Sandra: it was so nice to meet you ^^

Even it was like 500 km + 500 km driving through the rain - it just had to be done ^^
Also it was a great chance to check out a new hotel (Holiday Inn Express) - with a parking garage directly not far away from the Reeperbahn area and the harbour. Hamburg is my most favorite in Germany (Berlin is to large and far away for me - Munich is too boring).

Luckily the there was even some sun shine at the day I arrived (if you don't believe me: this photo is the proof!).

Seeing this sign I felt rather safe - because it says it is forbidden to carry weapons with you (and I guess when someone who usually carries a gun around with him sees it - he will instantly bring it back home ;ppp).

Well - just shortly after arriving it was time for a meet-up with the dear Julie aka Lady Lockenlicht
Since we had never met in RL before (but knew each other online from several networks) we had planned to do a Lolita photo shooting with her Vanilla-Chan (by Angelic Pretty) outfit for the next day.

We met for coffee - and cake ^^ ~ Of course a bunny like me could not resist this piece decorated with a carrot ;p

It was a nice time just chatting about everything and thinking about the upcoming shooting of the next day. ^^

No matter of the great things you can do online - RL meet-ups are always best :D

Day #2 - Unfortunately the day of the photo shooting started with rain - and even more rain :/ ... I wake up early and decided to take a walk in the harbour area which is my favorite place in Hamburg ... harbours are always so romantic for me <3

But since I am used to rain I was kinda prepared and had my super heavy old photo lambs (my father once bought them in 1980 for his Super8 camera - and they remind me on some terrible Christmas and B-day Family events ;p) - but now I was just glad to have them ;p
Actually these lights saved the day: It didn't stop raining - the sky was dully and grey - like no chance to do something outdoor (only a during a rain break of like 10 minutes) - and the light in the Julie's apartment would have required to set the camera to ISO800 or something (for those who are not into photography - that simply means : much too dark for good photos ).

We had to improvise a lot! - but hey - that's just the fun about photography. Julie's outfit was amazing! - I totally loved the cat-print of her Vanilla-chan outfit & all the other details :D

Urbex phun & flickr

Some time ago: Urbex with friends in an abandoned hospital ... somewhere in Belgium ( I loved the creepy atmosphere and felt like in some Resident Evil gameplay ;p )
